How much Psychiatry does Dr. Saribalas practice?
95%, as most psychiatric patients have sleep disturbance.

Is TMS covered by insurance companies? 
It is usually a case by case review by the patients insurance company.  TMS has been available for over three years in the USA and in some states is covered automatically.

Does Dr. Saribalas own any part of a sleep lab or is he employed by any pharmaceutical company?
No, however Dr. Sairbalas is a national speaker and speaks to physician groups on TMS related topics.  Upcoming talks are:  Portland, ME and Providence, NH.

What is a sleep study?
This is a study that is conducted in the Sleep Center lab, performed during the night while you are asleep. During this process, different body functions are measured during sleep, including brain waves, eye movements, breathing patterns, heart rate and rhythm, oxygen levels in the blood, and leg movements. The data that is gathered is reviewed by a physician in detail to determine if you have a sleep disorder.

What are the payment policies?
Most insurance is accepted! If we are contracted with your insurance company, we will collect any co-pays indicated on your insurance card. We accept cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard. Our billing consultants will bill your insurance company. However, if the third party payer does not pay you are responsible for the fees.

If an overnight sleep study or daytime nap test is ordered, our billing consultants will get the test(s) pre-certified for you. Again, there is no charge to you for this billing service.

If your insurance company requires a referral from your primary care physician, it is your responsibility to obtain this referral prior to your appointment. The referral may be faxed to our office.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?
If you must cancel an appointment, please attempt to give us a three day notice so other patients may be seen.
